With the right mix of fun and family, this Labor Day could be your most memorable ever. If you’re looking to do something beyond the standard backyard barbeque or pool party, check out these kid-friendly events that caught our attention:

Rangers Labor Day Race

Date: Monday, September 1

Kick off Labor Day early with a healthy morning run (or walk) benefitting local children in need through the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. Jog either a 1K or 5K through the heart of Arlington’s entertainment district and get a free T-shirt to remember the day!

Bedford Blues & BBQ Festival

Date: Friday, August 29 – Sunday, August 31

Take a day trip to Bedford and join more than 20,000 attendees from all over the country for a family-friendly blues and barbeque festival, where you’ll hear hits from artists like Robert Cray and Michael Lee. ClearFork Music Festival

Head to Cowtown for a day of eclectic music, food and art. Sample live music from 25 acts, ranging from the tribal beats of Spoonfed Tribe to the alternative vibes of the Burning Hotels. And best of all: children under 12 attend free!

DFW Free Day of Yoga Kickoff Festival

Date: Saturday, August 30 – Sunday, August 31

More than 170 studios will offer free yoga sessions on Labor Day, but get a jump on a yoga-filled weekend at the kickoff festival, which will be held in Dallas on Saturday and Fort Worth on Sunday. Butterfly Release and Talk
